In art we have been sketching Ancient Greek gods and goddesses. Also on celebration day we did an American theme  for example: making our own raps and music and we created our own street dance.

In Literacy we have been learning about embedded clauses which is placing extra information within a sentence (inside commas).

In Science we have been lerning about micro-organisms .  Some  micro-organisms  are helpful (bacteria).

In Maths we have been learning about nets, co-ordinates and how to translate a shape.
In PE we have been learning how to play ‘crab football’ and what skills to use.

Literacy personification poems

Posted on October 3rd, 2008 in 6 B Literacy by class6b

Welcome everyone.  This week we have been looking at personifying objects and emotions as though they were actual people.

For example if we were talking about a car we might say that its vent is like a mouth.

‘I raise my ears (doors) to let fresh air into my mind’

‘At night I glow like a shooting star in the midnight sky’ (headlights)

‘I wink my eye at the beautiful lady that passes by’ (headlights)

‘I sneeze when dust hits my face (window)’ – (jet sprays)
