Yesterday instead of subtracting on number lines Mr.Bate showed us a new way. In core skills we had to think of some words to make a persuasive sentence so we were prepered to do an advert for our Spain project!!

Monday’s blog!
On Monday Mr.Bate showed us how to improve a movie on windows movie maker so we could get on straight away next time! In art it was our last chance to finish our pictures with the oil pasteles before the awards assembley. In maths we carried on subtracting on number lines and then adding the jumps up.

Friday’s Blog
On Friday in P.E we did rugby which included tag rugby and a game a bit like piggy in the middle! In maths my maths set did subtracting on number lines. In french we answered some questions in groups about days of the week.

Yesterday in the morning we looked at a map of Ibiza and in the afternoon we finished our art pictures with the oil pasteles. In maths we did adding four digit numbers to four digit numbers.

Tuesday’s blog!
In our topic work some groups got their photos taken so they could be put up when we do our stall in the hall at the end of the term. Some groups designed things for their stalls, for example bar charts to show the weather, plane tickets, pictures of Great Britain and Spain, boarding passes and passports. In the afternoon Mr.Bate showed us a well known artist from spain and then we attempted to draw one of his amazing pieces of art with oil pastels!

Mondays blog.
In 6E for maths we did adding and subtracting on number lines. In 6B we almost did the same but instead all we did was add on number lines. In ICT we made a mini movie on windows movie maker it included a title, photos and some music. The movie was mostly about last years Y6s memories and photos of them.

What we did on Friday.
On Friday in P.E we did rugby which included passing backwards while we were running along the field. In getting on around the world we deisigned a bar chart to show the weather in Spain and some of us deisigned plane tickets! In french we named the days of the week but before that we sang a french song all about the days in the week.

What we did yesteday
Yesterday morning we did some research on spain most of our groups chose Ibiza (what a cramp).One group chose Madrid (so much for being popular). One little island so many groups researching the same place who will win????? as for the team researching Madrid theres nooo competition for them HAHAHA . Well we think its easy for the Madrid team no other group chose it so its going to be easy .well heres me blabbing on about our day how was your day think about it well be back soon bye now =)
Getting on around the world – SPAIN
Yesterday in core skills we learnt the difference between active and passive sentences. Active sentences is when something or someone is doing something to another object. Passive sentences are when the object is having something done to them by someone or something.
After dinner, we got into our spanish groups and answered questions about leaflets so that we can make our own leaflet for our travel agency groups.
The second week of school
In 6b we have been learning how to get on around the world and for the first time we all have got into groups of people that we have never worked with before. We also made a mind map full of what we are going to include on our stall.
In maths with mrs emson we have been adding and subtracting decimals from decimals and full numbers. We have been also using number cards for doing that.
